RETURN POLICIES

Our goal at Seagrass is to guarantee our customers 100% satisfaction with our products.

We realize this may not always happen and have therefore laid out a detailed return policy.

Only returns that have been pre-authorized may be returned. Please call us at 847-446-8444 or toll-free at 866-473-2472 for authorization within seven (7) days of receipt of merchandise to apply for a return. With the exception of damaged merchandise, all return shipping costs are at the customer's expense.

Once you have received return authorization instructions from Seagrass, the merchandise must be returned within ten (10) business days. This includes items that are returned to Seagrass or one of our manufacturers. Returns after this period will not be accepted and no credit issued.

Smaller items may be subject to a 10% restocking and reprocessing fee. Larger items such as furniture, mirrors, lighting and area rugs may be subject to a 25% or higher restocking fee in addition to shipping and handling charges.

PLEASE SAVE ALL ORIGINAL PACKING MATERIALS AND FILLERS INCLUDED WITH YOUR PURCHASE. After contacting a Seagrass Customer Service Representative via phone (866-473-2472) or email orders@seagrasshome.com, you will receive detailed return procedures. Please include the reason for the return along with your documentation. If not re-packed as it was originally shipped or there is any indication of use, the shipper or manufacturer will not authorize an exchange and no credit will be given.

RETURN PROCEDURES FOR DAMAGED OR DEFECTIVE MERCHANDISE

Defective or Damaged Goods Return Deadline: No returns due to defective or damaged goods can be authorized if you have been in receipt of the item for more than three (3) business days or 72 hours from receipt. UPS and FedEx delivery records will be utilized to determine date and time of receipt.

If upon examination you determine that the product is defective, you will need to forward a photograph of the damaged or defective item(s) to info@seagrasshome.com and keep all original packaging. Upon viewing, the manufacturer will replace the item(s) at no charge to you.

PLEASE NOTE: The manufacturer will assess whether the item(s) will be replaced at no additional charge. This must be clearly a manufacturing defect and not the result of damage caused by shipping (damage caused by negligent shipping where there is visible damage to the packing material and item(s), must be brought to our attention and will be addressed with the shipping company).

DAMAGE RETURNS FOR FREIGHT DELIVERED FURNITURE AND CUSTOM FURNITURE (A) All furniture indicated as "custom" is made upon ordering and cannot be returned unless damaged or defective.

(B) When any delivery comes via FREIGHT (trucking company) versus UPS or FedEx to your home or office, INSPECT THE ITEM before you sign the freight Companies’ paper work. DO NOT SIGN THE RECEIPT UNTIL YOU HAVE INSPECTED THE ITEM!

IMPORTANT: Inspect item(s) carefully and do not accept if found to be damaged. Instruct the freight company to return the merchandise to the sender. Contact us immediately and we will notify the manufacturer and replace the item. Freight companies can not be held responsible for damaged goods unless they are inspected by the customer and reported to the delivery driver at the time of delivery without exception.

ITEMS THAT MAY NOT BE RETURNED:

(A) Any items we identify in our product descriptions as being "Special Order" or "Custom Made." Please note that this includes the majority of our furniture.

(B) Any items that are listed as being “Fine Art”. "Closeouts”, “On Sale" or "Holiday" items.

(C) Any items that require special customized decals, engravings, or special designs.

Seagrass takes every step to assure smooth and prompt delivery of furniture and custom items which are ordered through our shop. However, there are circumstances which Seagrass can not predict and may delay your order. We work to ensure that your custom items arrive within an estimated time frame. An estimated delivery date will be given to you upon placing your order but as the order progresses in production, we welcome your inquiries as to its status. Please note that once an item is ready to ship, we estimate that most delivery companies allow 7-15 business days for your item to arrive. While we do everything within our power to get your product to you as soon as possible, please remember there are variables which are outside of our control.

We will issue a return authorization via e-mail. Any unauthorized return will be returned to the customer at their expense.

Any damaged product that you wish to return must be returned in the same condition it was received. REMEMBER: DO NOT SHIP ANY ITEMS TO SEAGRASS (UNLESS INSTRUCTED TO DO SO). WE WILL INSTRUCT YOU AS TO THE PROCEDURES INVOLVED IN RETURNING MERCHANDISE EITHER DIRECTLY TO THE MANUFACTURER TO EXPEDITE THIS PROCESS OR TO SEAGRASS.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Orders placed via the Internet are generally transmitted to one of our supplier's computer systems within 30 minutes from the time you place your order. If you decide to cancel your order please e-mail or call us immediately and we will contact our supplier. If you cancel an order that has already been shipped, all shipping costs, original shipping costs to your address and back to us, plus any handling fees charged to us by the supplier will be at your expense.

A 5% fee will be charged for a canceled order that has been processed in order to recover fees related to the credit card transaction. This fee will not apply to any returned merchandise or merchandise received in damaged condition.

REFUSAL OF DELIVERY

If you refuse delivery of the item when it reaches your home or place of business, you will be charged for all shipping costs, including the cost to return the item to the manufacturer. You will also be charged for any bank credit card fees that have been incurred along with handling and restocking fee imposed on us by our suppliers.

SALES TAX

A 9.00% sales tax, computed before shipping charges, will be applied to orders shipped to Illinois addresses.

SHIPPING METHODS & CHARGES

The majority of our orders are shipped via UPS. Most in-stock items will arrive on your doorstep 7-10 business days after receipt of your order. Larger items will ship via freight (truck).
